Think about it – we can’t see more than a few hundred metres without a telescope, neither can we see things too close – like viruses, or even our own eyelids (pretty naft, huh!) There is more to life than what we can see, and there are way too many important things beyond our sensory perception to miss! We don’t need to prove that. You can just go on YouTube and check out some optical illusions and you’ll see what I mean.

It’s actually nothing to do with who you are – it’s all about what you’ve done in the past, and what you’re doing now. Let’s isolate the problem from the person. It makes sense. You are who you are today because of what you did yesterday, isn’t it? So the same thing applies to where you are in life to. It’s simple.

Ever been jet-lagged? How does it feel? It’s because your body hasn’t rested for a long time. Now think about the mind. It doesn’t rest during the day, neither does it rest at night when you’re asleep. And this happens every day and every night. For days, weeks, months, and years… no wonder you feel drained.

Meditation gives your mind some good rest so you can think better, live better. And for those who want to go further, there are spiritual benefits too. Especially with mantra meditation.
